Doug TenNapel @DougTenNapel - Digital artists of the last 30 years chased off the largest audiences. Most people know not to buy the latest game or movie because everything about it will be intolerable. Smoking rubble, let it burn completely out.
There are traditional, analogue artists who always created before it became a commodity, so don’t even worry about them. We can still do etchings and woodcuts and nobody is buying that stuff because the audience is almost as ignorant as the creators.
Enter the Ai artists and the digital whores are terrified that Ai might barf something out that succeeds or entertains an audience. They don’t care that people enjoy it, they think arts exist to pay their rent not make truth, goodness and beauty.
“You will not enjoy Ai slop because we cratered three industries on digital slop.”
Something very new or very old might capture an audience, but Ai is not what turned art into dreck, it didn’t make the audience tasteless and illiterate and it didn’t destroy creative economies. Digital did that. Ai might fix it and the best chance Ai has is that the woke, digital, buggy-whip purists who ruined modernity won’t touch it!

Doug TenNapel @DougTenNapel - I’ve made a lot of money on my art, but I’ve done far far more art for free or at a financial loss. Art and business are two very different things. Art was always something I had to do but making a living at it was a privilege.
Modern mass media artists treat the monetization as mandatory and making the thing as optional.

Liberal men at this point (sorry) are disproportionately estrogenized, physically passive, submissive due to woke gender hectoring, or porn-addicted. White liberal women are disproportionately sexually frustrated. Policing others as in the pandemic was an outlet for them, but it was not nearly enough. The smiles you see on their faces now say it all: white women long for all out combat with ICE - who tend to be strong, physically confident, masculine men - because the conflict is a form of physical release for them. They long for actual kinetic battle and it will get even uglier.
