VA Secretary Doug Collins @SecVetAffairs - Patty Murray is cherry-picking years old problems to make @DeptVetAffairs look bad. Don’t be fooled! The truth is that we’re creating a single electronic health record for all Veterans, meaning less time sifting through a patchwork of records and running duplicative tests, and more time working directly with Veterans. VA staff satisfaction with the new system has doubled since 2024, and Veteran outpatient trust scores have increased at all sites where we’ve deployed it.

Senator Patty Murray @PattyMurray
Trump’s rollout of the EHR system in WA state created life-threatening problems & obstacles for veterans’ to get the health care they need.
Rushing the deployment of this system while serious issues remain is a recipe for disaster. I'm demanding answers.

Veterans’ Foundation @VeteransFdn - An incredibly touching and well-deserved moment this Christmas
At 102 years old, Second World War veteran Janet Patterson has finally received her War Medal 1939–1945, an astonishing 80 years after leaving the Armed Forces.
Janet served in the Women’s Royal Naval Service (WRNS) from 1942 to 1945, working as a film operator, showing vital training films to new naval recruits. Like so many of her generation, she never applied for a medal, believing she hadn’t done anything special.
Her children arranged the medal as an early Christmas surprise, and Janet was left both shocked and delighted. “I never thought I would get a medal and now I have,” she said. “I just need to wait for the right opportunity to wear it.”
Now living at Royal Star & Garter in Solihull, Janet was presented with her medal during a special afternoon tea organised by the home.
A remarkable woman, a lifetime of quiet service, and a powerful reminder that it is never too late to recognise sacrifice.
We thank you, Janet. Lest we forget.
