“I think the false statement case is kind of hanging by a thread,” Jim Trusty, a Justice Department veteran and former Chief of the Organized Crime and Gang Unit said.
“I think if you're going to revive the Comey case, you're still going to have a lot of litigation about whether or not it's fitting within the statute of limitations.”
