Shipwreckedcrew @shipwreckedcrew - None of us started out “attacking” Julie - all of us at the outset were trying to help her understand what she was mis-interpreting.
She took it as an attack and wrote the infamous words “The former Feds are showing their true colors” as if we were somehow in agreement with the search.
We all criticized the choice to get a warrant. But Julie wrote an article that was just FACTUALLY wrong and every one of us said the same thing about what that was.
But her “brand” could not admit she really didn’t know what she was talking about.

OK I was hoping you wouldn't go there, because even though we are now frenemies, I was one of the first "formers" to try and warn you off of that post the evening you posted it. I stand by what I said then - it was standard boiler plate language in every SW, arrest plan, firearms sessions, and legal training. It wasn't added for MAL. It was policy then, and still is as far as I know.
And even though Bongino, who I am rooting for BTW, agreed with you on that, he has also walked back some of his other comments as "that's what I had to say as a podcaster" (paraphrasing.) Since he is now the Deputy Director, it would be interesting to see if he has changed the policy on including the deadly force policy to every current operations orders. I'm betting the answer is no.

Today in Palmyra, Syria, two United States Army soldiers and one civilian U.S. interpreter were killed, and three were wounded.
The attack occurred as the soldiers were conducting a key leader engagement. Their mission was in support of on-going counter-ISIS / counter-terrorism operations in the region.
The soldiers’ names, as well as identifying information about their units, are being withheld until 24 hours after the next of kin notification.
This attack is currently under active investigation.
