Julie Kelly @julie_kelly2 - So with full acknowledgement I am not an attorney but have read plenty of comms between the DOJ and defense attorneys--this exchange between Jocelyn Ballantine, who is not a party in the civil lawsuit filed by Dan Richman, is too close for comfort.
This should be an adversarial relationship, not "hey let me see what I can find out for you."
It is a little problematic to see Ballantine, as deputy chief of national security division for DC US attorney's office, answer Richman's lawyer in such a friendly manner when he's clearly trolling for an answer about filing a temp restraining order to prevent DOJ from using Richman's records in a criminal proceeding:
