As it has been since the ship sank, oil continues to rise from the sunken hull of USS Arizona. The so called “Black Tears” as Arizona weeps. Despite 84 years of leakage, the oil is intentionally not extracted because the damaged and fragile hull is at risk of a catastrophic collapse, which would release all remaining oil at once instead of the current slow seepage. The fact that the hull is also a tomb shall also prevent extraction of the oil. #PearlHarbor84
