The keel for USCGC Pickering was authenticated Monday in Mobile, AL, marking the formal start of construction of the next Offshore Patrol Cutter. Adm. Kevin Lunday, Rep. Mike Ezell, and 100+ guests attended the ceremony.
Featuring state-of-the-art capabilities, Offshore Patrol Cutters will expand @USCG ability to control U.S. borders and maritime approaches, secure ports and waterways and respond to contingencies. Delivery is planned for 2027.
