CORRECTION:
Tina Peters was place in "IDO" which is functionally no different than solitary. This is a semantic game. They can claim she was not placed in solitary because it technically is not called "solitary" anymore.
This is optics.
What is really being said here? Is solitary confinement supposed to mean denial of food and health care?
Tina was moved to isolation where prisoners are kept in their cells for 22 hours per day and cannot use the phones unless everyone else in the pod is put back in their cells. After making a call they are put back in isolation.
Either way, we are grateful that an investigation was conducted and Tina has been allowed to leave isolation and go back to her normal cell.
Nevertheless, it is unacceptable that other inmates are being turned against Tina while she continues to be denied bond during her appeal process at the hands of a corrupt judge.
