Instead of grieving my husband and moving through that process (it hasn’t even been 2 mos yet)
I am forced by the @realDonaldTrump Administration to begin sorting through the belongings of our marriage and decide what I want to keep or get rid of. I am forced to put our home up for sale and move into a small rental. Why? Because the VA cuts off ALL benefits from the widow and the children the day the veteran dies and we have to go through the same process veterans do that takes YEARS. Oh, and I get 25% of what our budget was under his retirement. That meager $1600 doesn’t even pay our house payment.
A widow I know who had a toddler when her combat veteran husband died applied for theirs and it has taken over a decade and they still have yet to be approved. This child will be 18 in less than 8 years and has been raised without their father’s VA retirement.
GOOD THING @POTUS wants to send out $2000 tariff checks to everybody while the Veterans and their families drown finically and are completely neglected and abused ON HIS WATCH!
I AM NOT GOING TO STOP SHOUTING FROM THIS MOUNTAINTOP …. I promise.
