The 70-year-old economist maintained a friendly relationship with Epstein until his death, as shown in newly released government emails.
Flight logs confirm Summers flew on Epstein’s private jet four times, including a December 21, 2005, trip to Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, in the US Virgin Islands.
Three flights occurred while Summers was Harvard president, from 2001 to 2006, on the jet nicknamed the “Lolita Express” for allegedly transporting sex trafficking victims and perpetrators.
On the same 2005 flight, “Lisa Summers”—similar to his wife Elisa’s name—and Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s madame now serving 20 years for sex trafficking, were listed.
Summers also flew with Epstein and Sarah Kellen, accused by a judge of knowingly participating in the scheme, from New York to Bedford, Massachusetts, on April 15, 2004.

He had almost certainly been bitten weeks before by a lone-star tick, which spreads alpha-gal syndrome, an allergy to a sugar found in mammalian meat.
It's now reckoned that millions could have alpha-gal syndrome in the US, as the range of the lone-star tick has spread.
