Everyone knows this is a massive problem on both sides — Democrats and Republicans are both engaging in insider trading. The real question is: why hold a hearing unless you’re trying to draw attention away from the fact that you’re not actually working on the bill?
I will absolutely be attending this hearing, but make no mistake: if the committee tries to water anything down or slow-walk this, every single member who signed onto the consensus bill to stop insider trading by Members of Congress will sign the discharge petition — along with additional members of the House of Representatives.
