2026 ARRL Foundation Scholarship Program is Now Accepting Applications
10/30/2025
The ARRL Foundation Scholarship Program has opened the application window for 2026 scholarships. Applications will be accepted through December 30, 2025, at 12 PM EST. Students are encouraged to apply for more than 170 scholarships ranging from $500 to $25,000. All applicants must be active, FCC-licensed amateur radio operators.
The scholarships were established by generous donors and are managed by the ARRL Foundation as a means to inspire youth to explore amateur radio and to pursue higher education and related career paths -- and especially in wireless communications.
In 2025, the ARRL Foundation awarded 170 awards totaling $800,000. More information and the online application are available

Rick Scott News Conference
Governor Rick Scott (R-FL), candidate for U.S. Senate, held a news conference on the election results in his race against Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL). At the time of this news conference Governor Scott was leading the Democratic incumbent by less than a margin of one-quarter of one percent, small enough to trigger a recount. Governor Scott accused state election officials of fraud and threatened legal action.

Q&A: Representative Jackie Speier
Representative Jackie Speier (D-CA) talked about her memoir, Undaunted: Surviving Jonestown, Summoning Courage, and Fighting Back. In 1978, Representative Speier was a congressional staffer working for Representative Leo Ryan (D-CA) who traveled to Jonestown, Guyana, to investigate allegations of human rights abuses by religious cult leader Jim Jones and some of his People's Temple followers. The investigative team was ambushed by People's Temple members while boarding a plane to leave, and Representative Speier was shot five times. Representative Ryan was killed and several others were killed or injured in the attack.
