Denise @Likeshesays - Whoopie  said Melania "destroyed" the Rose garden and it looked like a "graveyard".
Melania improved the drainage and sunlight  (by removing dead infected trees)  to the Rose Garden, whose namesake flowers had failed to thrive over the years. Only 12 original rose bushes remained when Melania oversaw the addition,  she added 200 new rose bushes, which were the same type as the  original rose bushes, that had died.  
It's beautiful.
