FBI Oversight
Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey testified at an oversight hearing of the FBI's operations. Members focused their questions primarily on the FBI's handling of the investigation of 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's use of private email servers while serving as secretary of state, and Mr. Comey's ultimate decision not to recommend charges against her. He defended the quality of the investigation, the integrity of the people involved, and the commitment of bureau agents and employees in the pursuit of justice.
