In this portion, Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and ranking member Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) delivered opening statements. This was followed by Professor Blasey Ford's opening statement. This portion also includes the questioning of Professor Blasey Ford. Republicans hired Rachel Mitchell, who heads the Maricopa County, Arizona, Special Victims Division, to ask questions for them. Senate Democrats asked their own questions. Each senator had five minutes for questions.

Campaign 2024: Former President Trump Meets with Ukrainian President Zelensky
2024 Republican presidential nominee and former President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke to reporters ahead of a meeting at Trump Tower in New York City, their first face-to-face encounter since 2019. The former president said Ukraine had faced hardship in its war against Russian invasion, and said the two would be discussing the conflict. The meeting came a day after Mr. Zelensky met with Mr. Trump's Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris.
