JULIE DONUTS @Juliesnark1731 - I was making porkchops at my ex’s house, for my ex’s birthday. My children were both there too. I was listening to Charlie’s Memorial and the bagpipes. Sobbing. With gratitude. With an overwhelming feeling of sadness and pure joy all in one.
I love my children’s father with all my heart even though we’re not together and couldn’t make it work. We have 2 beautiful children together. We always made it work and be friends for our children’s sake. This is not the norm and I wouldn’t want it any other way. It’s bigger than just me.
Then I saw Erika Kirk speaking saying she forgives her husband’s murderer. In the mist of one of the most painful tragedies one can endure, she forgave him.
I say all of this to say, do not carry hate in your heart. Forgiveness does not mean you approve, it sets YOU FREE. It’s what Christ asks of us. He forgives His followers who accept His gift He ALREADY GAVE US. You just have to accept the most amazing gift and believe. ✝
Now let’s go kick some demon ass tomorrow. We don’t hate them, we just want JUSTICE.
