Colin Wright @SwipeWright-  Watch this entire clip. Gordon Guyatt ( @GuyattGH ) said he would "jump off a bridge" if he ever discovered he had signed a statement calling pediatric gender medicine "medically necessary."
@_CryMiaRiver then showed him that he had, in fact, signed a statement saying exactly that.
But instead of being mortified to the point of "jumping off a bridge," he responds by downplaying it and claiming he hadn’t written that part and should only be held accountable for the sections he "clearly" wrote, even though nobody can possibly know who wrote what.  
Throughout the podcast, he repeatedly and unfairly criticizes SEGM (@segm_ebm) for adhering to the principles of evidence-based medicine and avoiding value judgments, yet he somehow excuses the activists who tricked him into signing a statement he fundamentally disagrees with. That statement is now being used by activists to claim that Guyatt, the father of modern evidence-based medicine, supports the idea that "gender-affirming care" is "medically necessary" treatment.
I want to address Dr. Guyatt directly now.
Dr. Guyatt, given that you were misled and clearly manipulated by activists into signing a statement you reject, will you make a public statement clarifying this and requesting that either your name or the claim that gender medicine is "medically necessary" be removed?  
If not, why not?
