America 250: Kari Winter, "The Blind African Slave". Historian Kari Winter recounted the life of Jeffrey Brace, an enslaved man who won his freedom through his service during the Revolutionary War. Jeffrey Brace initially published his memoirs in 1810. Kari Winters was joined in conversation by Rhonda Brace, a descendant of Jeffrey Brace. The Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia hosted this event.
