With a wink and a spreadsheet, you can torture any dataset to confess exactly what you want, whether it’s proving your city’s the safest or the wildest in the West.
We’ve heard the cries lately about how cities in Republican run states are really bad and that Trump should be focusing on those regions.  Indeed, the data do show that 13 of the top 20 states in murder rate have Republican governors.
I did my own data yoga to squeeze out the top 20 cities and then identified the respective mayor’s party affiliation.  The results show that 18 have a blue mayor, one has a red mayor (Dallas at #17), and one’s independent (Las Vegas at #20).   See the data at http://goodwyncartoons.com

AMSAT-DL @amsatdl - Greater (partial) success for #amateurradio and #amsat satellite operators in dispute with AST Spacemobile over commercial use of the 430-440 MHz amateur radio band for TT&C In its reference Attachment to the recent grant, dated August 29, 2025, the FCC imposes clear limits:  
TT&C in 430-440 MHz band is only permitted for a period not exceeding 24 hours and if no other band is available! Furthermore, TT&C (LEOP and emergency) operation in the 430-440 MHz band is only approved for the next 20 satellites (including FM1). We hope that this will give AST &Science LLC enough time to make technical modifications to it's future fleet of over 200 BlueBird satellites and avoid using the amateur radio bands again.
