Hi, I'm Anna.
In 2020, I was attacked while walking to the post office, blocks from the Capitol. A homeless man lunged at me and assaulted me. I survived, but that day changed my life.
I fled DC as I waited for the US Attorneys office to prosecute. It took two years before my assailant went to federal prison for what he did to me that day. But my life is forever changed. My career, my home, lost. I can't return back there.
I'm writing a book about what happened to me and this week will be penning an op-ed about my experience in DC.
