Daily Caller @DailyCaller - Glenn Kessler, the longtime “fact checker” behind the Washington Post’s “Pinocchios," announced today that he is LEAVING the paper after 27 years.
Here is just one example of Kessler's work

Dan Scavino @Scavino47 - From President Trump: “I have been briefed on the tragic shooting that took place in Manhattan, a place that I know and love. I trust our Law Enforcement Agencies to get to the bottom of why this crazed lunatic committed such a senseless act of violence...”

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - Completely different topic. We have a hawk that lives in our yard. I have a love-hate relationship with it because while it’s cool to have a pet hawk, it’s eaten all the rabbits and squirrels.
This morning it hit the window chasing a smaller bird. It’s on the ground but still alive and moving and seems to be improving. It’s standing now. My oldest son has been watching over it all morning.
Poor birdie!

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - Think of "democracy" the way Marxism envisions a stateless utopia, yet always builds the most state.
These people advocate mass arrests, abolishing universal suffrage, and banning populist parties in order to protect democracy... and they believe it.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - By the late 1940s, all "Big Three" foundations were unified in purpose: spreading global liberal democracy.
The Ford Foundation commissioned the Gaither Report, which consulted with professors, foreign officials, and UN representatives. The report concluded that universal democracy represented the highest form of human welfare and recommended that the Foundation support efforts to help the United States accelerate the "transfer of national sovereignty" to the United Nations.
The Rockefeller Foundation in its 1942 annual report stated that if "[World War 2] has meaning and purpose it is to extend the idea of democracy vertically in America and horizontally throughout the world" and that democracy constituted a "new order."
Carnegie Endowment (CEIP) was already somewhat founded on this premise of spreading world peace and freedom.
Interestingly, while the Church Committee harshly criticized the CIA for collaborating with smaller nonprofits, it fully exonerated the Big Three foundations. By that point, however, those foundations were already working openly with the U.S. government, funded by taxpayer money through USAID.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - This was also the time that the OSS/CIA was created.
Remember, these foundations are not independent of the US foreign policy officials. The OSS/CIA was recruited from them. Think about it: what better way to get foreign intelligence than people who are already on the ground doing humanitarian missions?
