Reel America: Logging in the 1930s. This early documentary showed lumbering operations. The silent film, later reconstructed with voice, was created by the Machias Lumber Company of Washington County, Maine, in 1930. Reel America is an American History TV series showcasing archival films from throughout the twentieth century.

The Presidency: Remembering FDR 80 Years Later. Eighty years after his April 12, 1945, death, FDR was remembered at his presidential library in Hyde Park, New York. Historian David Woolner reflected on the outpouring of public grief and what it revealed about Franklin Roosevelt's place in the American story. Mr. Woolner is author of the 2017 book "The Last 100 Days: FDR at War and at Peace."

The six-part, 12-hour series coincides with the 250th anniversary of the nation's war for independence, which began in April 1775 and will be commemorated nationwide on July 4, 2026.
