Yep. France is general is such a treat. There's a wonderful culture of making wines accessible so you can get amazing bottles of Burgundy in restaurants for cheaper than you could from a store. In contrast, in the US, the wines are sold in store heavily marked up due to tariffs and our distribution scheme (wines required by law to have three people touching it - importer, distributor, store). Then they're sold at restaurants for sometimes 4-5x markup from the store price.
