I have started receiving strange messages on linkedin by one female student in my uni who connected to me last spring during my course. First she said how she is really surprised that someone so young is already a teacher; then she asked what career plans and dreams I have, then what I like to do on my spare time, and now she asked if I can give her private tutoring in statistics. I have tried to be as polite and professional as possible while not really answering too much, but her last question crossed the line a bit too far imo. How do I de-escalate this? I was at first convinced "she" was a bot but at least a person with her name is studying at the faculty. Now I am thinking it's some friends pranking a teacher by flirting with him. I don't want to get into HR trouble with this
