Herder was getting Thai food for himself and I thought fuck it i'll try it. Got pad cre pai - chicken chilli basil because a mate swears it's his favourite meal. Just naturally got along with the youngish Thai woman and made small talk. She asked about my weaboo hoody and said she likes japan too. I said I have mates who go to thailand. She was happy to talk and a bit friendly.
Went to Dan's after to get my jim beams and thought maybe the woman who is always sweet to me is in there and i'll give her a compliment. Got my drinks and she closed her register before I got to it, then straight after I got through she opened her register again. I became certain she wanted to avoid talking to me even though she was sweet to me a dozen times before. I felt like she saw me as a violent guilty criminal or some sort of animal.
