You cannot prevent 100% something like that unless the person is really forced into a closed hospital where suicide methods are taken away. What I question more (with respect to her family of course) is how they didn't notice sooner that for the past days she clearly was off her medication and being not normal. Then again I have a family member like that and they could off themselves at any point like that. You literally can't do anything if they are not locked in a hospital for the time of their psychosis. You can't force someone to take their medication outside the hospital. For whatever God forsaken reason she stopped taking her anti psychotics. Gets me so fucking angry when I read some twitter MAGA style idiot telling her "meds are invented by Jews, don't take them". I hope this didn't correlate with her stopping everything. Feels to me that in 2026 she started being more and more into right wing beliefs, which was fine by me, but there's also schizo American science denial stuff in there that's legit dangerous.
