> Personally I care about everyone of worth that dies in such a tragic manner, especially someone I connected with.
I can understand how much worse it can be if you knew them, but yeah personally I didn't know her so I am very disconnected from this.

> Still I'm a person with lots of empathy for others, and when someone dies due to mental issues and being connected to drug use, I can't help but think that the environment played a huge role.
You are right and you probably are a better person than me, and maybe it comes down to how people were raised. I think the Internet plays a big role when it comes to environment, for example until the 2000s self-harm in the form of repeated and uniform cuts with a razor was basically unheard of for instance and it was spread through Internet and media. In this case it serves as an amplifier, whether good or bad.

> what do we know of the causes that led to this?
For 90% of BPD women I have seen it's a combination of: dad is gone or absent, mom is a whore or negligent, sexual abuse as a kid, and some form of grooming. Maybe there some a genetic factor to it but idk. I cannot speak about her personally because I didn't know her

> I know many artists like this and they learn to manage their mental issues and get therapy. I feel that she was failed.
Therapy is not a magic solution that fixes people's inhibitions though, it requires commitment and consistency (both things borderline people struggle with) and may take years of cognitive-behavioral therapy and tinkering with medicine to see some real meaningful progress.
On the other hand, drugs (and hedonism in general) are quick dopamine hits and can distract from the misery very easily, so it is easy to see why they would fall into addiction. Maybe she was failed, but you cannot help someone that doesn't want to help themselves, regardless of how many times you put them in a psych ward or lovebomb them.

> even if it was a 18 year old incel guy that I knew or an ugly girl, I'd say the same thing
I don't doubt that, but would there be a thread about an 18yo chud incel who overdosed to death? I very much doubt it. This is less about you as a person but rather the overall reaction to this.
